Safety Tips

MeetWed provides safety tips for general awareness only and does not guarantee user behavior, outcomes, or safety.

1. Verify Identity and Age

  • Confirm the identity and real age of anyone you interact with.

  • Use video calls, voice notes, or real‑time photos before trusting someone or meeting them.

  • Be cautious of users who avoid verification or delay it repeatedly.

2. Communicate Carefully

  • Take time to get to know the person before sharing personal details or making plans.

  • Pay attention to inconsistencies in their stories, behavior, or communication style.

3. Protect Your Personal Information

  • Never share your home address, workplace, financial information, ID documents, passwords, or private contact details.

  • Avoid sending photos that reveal your location or sensitive background details.

4. Keep Conversations on MeetWed

  • Stay within MeetWed’s messaging system until trust is established.

  • Avoid moving to private messaging apps too quickly, especially if the other person insists.

5. Watch for Red Flags

Be cautious of users who:

  • Ask for money, gifts, loans, or financial help

  • Avoid video or voice verification

  • Provide inconsistent or suspicious information

  • Pressure you to act quickly or emotionally manipulate you

  • Refuse to meet in public or keep delaying verification

6. Use the Block Feature

  • Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable, behaves suspiciously, or violates MeetWed’s rules.

  • Blocking is immediate and prevents further contact.

7. Report Suspicious Behavior

  • Report accounts that seem fake, abusive, or unsafe.

  • Include screenshots or relevant messages when possible.

  • Reports help keep the community safe and allow MeetWed to take action quickly.

8. Stay Safe When Meeting in Person

For your first meeting:

  • Choose a public, well‑lit location

  • Inform a trusted friend or family member

  • Arrange your own transportation

  • Keep your phone charged and accessible

  • Do not rely on the other person for rides or travel arrangements

9. Trust Your Instincts

  • If something feels wrong, stop the conversation immediately.

  • Block and report the user if necessary.

  • Your safety always comes first.
