Terms of use

1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to MeetWed LLC, operated by MeetWed LLC (“MeetWed LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “the Company”). These Terms of Use (“Terms” or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of our website (www.meetwed.com), mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Cookie Policy, and Safety Standards, which are incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.

MeetWed LLC may update or modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and MeetWed LLC.

MeetWed LLC may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without notice. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and MeetWed LLC and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

2. ELIGIBILITY

By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 18 years old and meet the minimum legal age for online dating services in your jurisdiction. You have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. You are not prohibited by any law, court order, or government restriction from using online dating or relationship‑matching services. You are using the Service solely for genuine, personal, long‑term relationship purposes and not for casual encounters, solicitation, recruitment, commercial activity, or entertainment.

You have not been convicted of any violent crime, sexual offense, exploitation‑related offense, coercive offense, trafficking‑related offense, or any crime involving threats, harassment, or abuse. You are not required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction. You do not pose a risk to the safety, rights, or well‑being of other users, as determined by MeetWed LLC in its sole discretion.

You do not have more than one MeetWed LLC account and will not create additional accounts after suspension or termination. You have not previously been banned, suspended, or removed from MeetWed LLC or any affiliated or successor platforms.

You are not using the Service on behalf of a business, organization, agency, or third party, and you are not conducting research, data collection, scraping, or surveillance.

All information you provide is truthful, accurate, and complete, and you agree to update it promptly if it changes.

MeetWed LLC reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and may refuse access or terminate accounts that violate or appear to violate these requirements.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & VERIFICATION

3.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information when creating or updating your account. You further agree that all information you provide—including your identity, age, photos, relationship intentions, background, and personal details—is truthful and not misleading by omission or exaggeration. MeetWed LLC may require verification of any information and may suspend or terminate your account if any information is found to be false, misleading, incomplete, or unverifiable.

3.2 Identity Verification

MeetWed LLC may require government‑issued ID verification at any time to confirm eligibility, prevent fraud, or enforce safety rules. MeetWed LLC does not guarantee the accuracy of any user’s identity or age. You are solely responsible for verifying the identity and authenticity of individuals you interact with.

3.3 One Account Policy

You may maintain only one account. Duplicate, shared, or fraudulent accounts may be suspended or terminated. MeetWed LLC is not responsible for detecting duplicate accounts and assumes no liability for any consequences arising from users creating or interacting with multiple accounts.

4. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

By using the Service, you agree to:

Use the Service respectfully, lawfully, and in good faith, consistent with the purpose of forming genuine long‑term relationships. Comply with these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws, including those of the U.S., EU/EEA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand, and other jurisdictions. Protect your login credentials and accept full responsibility for all activity under your account. Use only the latest, official version of the app or website. Treat other users and MeetWed LLC staff with courtesy and respect. Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information.

You must not:

Misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, background, or intentions. Harass, threaten, intimidate, demean, or abuse any user or staff member. Request or offer money, gifts, loans, financial assistance, or material benefits. Engage in scams, fraud, deception, catfishing, or manipulative behavior. Use the Service for escorting, solicitation, transactional relationships, or sexual services. Use the Service for political influence, commercial activity, marketing, recruitment, or data collection. Attempt to bypass, disable, or manipulate verification, moderation, or safety systems. Create new accounts after suspension or termination. Submit false or malicious reports. Use automated tools, bots, scripts, scrapers, or unauthorized access methods. Share or post content involving minors, explicit material, or illegal activity.

MeetWed LLC may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, explanation, refund, or appeal.

5. PROHIBITED CONTENT

You must not upload, post, transmit, or share any content that:

Is pornographic, explicit, obscene, or sexually suggestive. Contains nudity, sexualized imagery, graphic violence, or disturbing content. Promotes racism, sexism, hate, discrimination, or harassment. Encourages illegal activity, self‑harm, or dangerous behavior. Contains threats, harassment, abusive language, or intimidation. Is defamatory, libelous, knowingly false, or intended to damage another person’s reputation. Involves minors in any form. Contains another person’s image or personal information without consent. Contains malware or harmful code. Advertises goods, services, or commercial offers. Promotes “sugar dating,” escorting, transactional relationships, or sexual services. Requests or solicits money or material benefits. Violates intellectual property rights. Uses AI tools to impersonate or misrepresent real individuals. Attempts to bypass moderation or safety systems. Is inconsistent with the purpose of MeetWed LLC.

MeetWed LLC may remove content at its sole discretion, with or without notice.

6. ANTI‑TRAFFICKING, ANTI‑EXPLOITATION & ANTI‑PROSTITUTION POLICY

MeetWed LLC enforces a zero‑tolerance policy toward prostitution, sexual exploitation, and trafficking.

6.1 Prostitution & Sexual Services

You may not use the Service to engage in, promote, facilitate, or attempt to facilitate:

Prostitution, sexual services, escorting, compensated dating, “sugar dating,” transactional relationships, or any exchange of money, gifts, rent, travel, or material benefits for romantic or sexual interaction.

6.2 Human Trafficking & Exploitation

Strictly prohibited:

Human trafficking, online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC), grooming, coercion, manipulation, recruitment for adult entertainment, exploitation of vulnerable individuals, or any activity violating:

  • Philippines RA 9208, RA 10364, RA 10906

  • Thailand Anti‑Trafficking in Persons Act

  • U.S. Trafficking Victims Protection Act

  • EU/EEA anti‑trafficking directives

  • Global anti‑exploitation laws

6.3 Enforcement

Violations result in:

  • Immediate permanent ban

  • Reporting to authorities

  • Forfeiture of all payments

  • No refunds

MeetWed LLC cooperates with law enforcement in the U.S., Philippines, Thailand, and other jurisdictions.

7. SAFETY, INTERACTIONS & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

MeetWed LLC does not conduct criminal background checks, verify personal claims beyond basic identity checks, or guarantee the identity, intentions, compatibility, honesty, or behavior of any user. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether online or offline.

MeetWed LLC is not liable for user behavior, offline meetings, emotional or physical harm, financial loss, fraud, deception, misrepresentation, or any damages arising from interactions between users.

You acknowledge that all interactions are undertaken at your own risk.

MeetWed LLC has no duty to monitor user activity or content.

8. NON‑COMMERCIAL USE

The Service is for personal, non‑commercial use only. Commercial use is strictly prohibited.

9. PAID SERVICES & SUBSCRIPTIONS

MeetWed LLC may offer paid features or premium memberships. All fees are disclosed at purchase.

Refunds are provided only:

  • When required by law (EU/EEA, UK, Australia, New Zealand), or

  • For duplicate charges or technical errors

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Bans or suspensions

  • Dissatisfaction

  • Failure to meet users

  • Voluntary deletion

  • Violations of Terms

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.

Additional terms may apply to premium features.

10. MODERATION & ENFORCEMENT

MeetWed LLC may use automated tools and human moderators to enforce policies. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, permanently ban users, block devices or IP addresses, or deny future access.

Enforcement may occur with or without notice and is not subject to appeal.

11. PRIVACY

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. MeetWed LLC complies with:

  • U.S. privacy laws

  • EU GDPR

  • UK GDPR

  • Australia & New Zealand privacy laws

  • Philippines NPC guidelines

  • Thailand PDPA

MeetWed LLC does not guarantee absolute security of your data.

12. THIRD‑PARTY LINKS

MeetWed LLC is not responsible for third‑party websites or services.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CLAIMS

DMCA‑style counter‑notification rules apply.

14. DISCLAIMERS

MeetWed LLC provides the Service “AS IS” and disclaims all warranties. We are not liable for:

  • User behavior

  • Offline interactions

  • Emotional or physical harm

  • Financial loss

  • Fraud or deception

  • Unauthorized access

  • Service interruptions

No professional advice is provided.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

MeetWed LLC’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

16. INFORMAL DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Before initiating arbitration, you must contact support@meetwed.com and allow 30 days for resolution.

17. GOVERNING LAW & ARBITRATION

17.1 Governing Law

The laws of the State of California govern these Terms.

17.2 Mandatory Arbitration

All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

17.3 Venue

Arbitration will occur in Orange County, California.

17.4 Class Action Waiver

You waive the right to participate in class actions.

17.5 Mass Arbitration Limitation

If 25+ similar claims are filed:

  • Claims may be batched

  • Proceedings may be stayed

  • Fees may be adjusted

  • A bellwether process may be used

17.6 Small Claims Option

Either party may bring an individual claim in the Orange County, CA small claims court.

18. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify MeetWed LLC against all claims arising from your use of the Service.

19. TERMINATION

MeetWed LLC may terminate your account at any time, with or without notice. No refunds will be issued.

20. FORCE MAJEURE

MeetWed LLC is not liable for events beyond its control.

21. SEVERABILITY

Invalid provisions do not affect the remainder.

22. NO WAIVER

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive it.

23. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

MeetWed LLC may refuse service at any time.

24. COOPERATION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT

MeetWed LLC may cooperate with authorities without notice.
